Emmerdale new Aaron romance ‘sealed’ after bust-up – but fans aren’t happy

Emmerdale viewers weren't overjoyed by the prospect of a romance between Aaron Dingle and Ethan Anderson.

Aaron, played by Danny Miller, returned to the Dales in October after one year away. He bid farewell to the village after his little sister Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) was killed in the storm.

Since returning, Aaron hasn't been able to forgive his mum Chas (Lucy Pargeter) for driving him out of town to prevent her affair with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) coming out. Aaron remains angry and bitter, still blaming Chas for Liv's death.

During Monday's instalment (December 18) of the ITV soap, Aaron was forced to pick Eve up from school after Chas failed to answer her phone. When he walked in on Chas having a brandy with Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), he was furious and began hurling insults her.

The confrontation spilled out into the bar, where Charles demanded Aaron apologise for speaking to Chas in that way. Aaron refused, instead branding her a "slapper" in front of onlookers.

Things almost turned physical before Ethan (Emile John) jumped in and urged his dad to not rise to it. Later in the evening, Aaron approached Ethan and invited him over. To which Ethan accepted.

As they walked towards Aaron's house, he smirked. Fans immediately raced to social media to speculate about something happening between the pair.

One simply declared: "Aaron and Ethan gonna s**g." Another added: "Ethan and Aaron???" followed by an eyes emoji. A third echoed: "Omg Ethan and Aaron are gonna f**k aren't they…damn.. its gonna be good!"

While others claimed that Aaron is clearly attempting to use Ethan to get one up on Charles, with one writing: "Feel like Aaron is using Ethan to wind Charles up." Someone else begged: "I gonna need Ethan to stay far away from Aaron the toxic man child."

Another speculated: "Aaron wants to violate Ethan so he can hold it over Charles, bully thug now upped his evilness." A fourth agreed: "Oh Ethan seriously, stop thinking in the groin area. Aaron is only trying to get one on Charles. Aaron is so messed up."
